Professor Dodson's Grading Philosophy

GRADES:

I do not grade for “effort”--I assume effort.
I do not grade for “improvement”--I assume improvement.
I do not respond positively to explanations for missed or late work other than for
excused absences approved by the Dean's office, jury duty, jail or military duty.

Lastly, I do not respond positively to appeals to raise a grade
in order for you to, pledge a fraternity or sorority, to boost GPA's for scholarships, or for timely graduation.

I grade only on the quality of your work as a professional in-training
handed in on time. I give grades as follows:

The percentages are an approximation and are added, then divided by the number of assigned projects giving an average.
